The NH County Association held its annual conference at the Mt Washington Hotel located at Bretton Woods NH. LEAP speakers Norm Stamper and Eric Sterling gave a presentation and held a question- answer period at the end of the presentation. NH County officials, including correctional facilities officials, sheriff depts and local county govts were in attendance for the presentation. The presentation was well received and one of LEAP's own members Rich VanWickler, a a county superintendant of corrections was also present with questions for our speakers.
LEAP contingency makes a Big Splash at the Marijuana Policy Project's 2007 GREAT Conference in Washington DC! They were known as the LEAP delegation and made more than the normal waves at the workshop ! All who attended benefited from the workshop's agenda and went home with more arrows in the quiver! Networking - Networking - the vital key!
LEAP at the National Conference for State Legislators held in Boston August 5-9, 2007. Officials Pelosi and Chertoff addressed the conference on matters of immigration, Homeland Security and No Child Left Behind. Jack Cole, Kristen Daley, Bill Fried and volunteers Isabella Jancourtz and John Madfis staffed the booth and networked to get the issue of ending drug Prohibition on the legislator's already crowded plate!
More than 300 delegates gathered in the U.N. complex in Vienna to create by consensus opinion a Declaration and three Resolutions, which may guide the U.N. Committee on Narcotic Drugs in how they plan the next ten years of world drug policy.
